If you purchased a domain from GoDaddy, Cloudflare, or Namecheap, you can connect it automatically to Shopify. Make sure you have your login information for your domain provider ready.

Steps to Connect Your Domain Automatically

  1. Go to Shopify Domains: In your Shopify admin, navigate to Settings > Domains and click Connect existing domain.

    Connect existing domain button
  2. Enter Your Domain: Type your domain name (e.g., example.com) and click Next. Do not include a subdomain like www.

    Enter domain in Shopify
  3. Connect Automatically: Click the Connect automatically button. Shopify will configure your domain with your provider.

  4. Log in to Your Domain Provider: Shopify will prompt you to log in to your GoDaddy, Cloudflare, or Namecheap account to authorize the connection.

    Login to domain provider
  5. Finish Connection: Click Connect, then Close to complete the setup.

    Connect and close

It might take up to 48 hours for your domain to be fully live. You can click your domain in Shopify admin to review connection details.

Next Steps

If automatic connection does not work, you can connect the domain manually by updating DNS records directly in your domain provider account.
